How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or facing challenges that affect your daily life, therapy can be a supportive space to explore these feelings. It's normal to seek help when coping mechanisms aren't enough or when you desire personal growth and understanding. In psychodynamic therapy, we pay attention to patterns that may have developed from formative experiences, some of which may be unconscious, that can keep us feeling stuck or repeating the same struggles. By bringing these patterns into awareness, therapy can help you understand the roots of your emotions and behaviors, opening the door to meaningful change and greater self-understanding.
What can I expect during our sessions?
Our sessions will be a collaborative process where we work together to understand your concerns and goals. We utilize evidence-based approaches tailored to your unique needs, integrating spiritual, emotion-focused, person-centered, existential, and psychodynamic perspectives when applicable, to actionable tools such as CBT and mindfulness.
How long do therapy sessions last, and how often will we meet?
Each session typically lasts 50 minutes. The frequency of sessions varies based on your individual needs and goals, but many clients start with weekly sessions and adjust as progress is made.
Do you accept insurance?
We do not accept insurance directly. However, we can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. It's advisable to check with your insurance provider regarding out-of-network benefits.
What are your fees?
Our clinicians have varying fee structures, and we strive to make therapy accessible to as many people as possible. We have sliding scale fees as low as $115 to accommodate clients with financial constraints. Contact us to inquire.
Are virtual therapy sessions available?
Yes, we offer secure and confidential online therapy sessions via HIPAA-compliant platforms. We also offer in-person appointments on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
How do I schedule an appointment?
To schedule a free consult, please contact us, and we will reach out with times and availability.
What should I do if I need immediate assistance?
